Glen Paul Kaszynski 61 of Peru. Died March 11, 2018, in his home beside his wife following a lengthy illness. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of his life will be at a later date. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Glen was born November 30, 1956, in La Salle to Bernard and Claire (Gaede) Kaszynski. He was a 1974 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. He married the love of his life Carol Baysinger May 18, 2007. Glen worked for the railroad, Consolidated Freight Ways for over 22 years, until its closing. He also worked at Double M trucking, Rockwell Industries, and Air Products Co., up till his illness. Glen always had a strong work ethic and took a lot of pride in that. Glen absolutely loved life. Anybody that met him had a lifelong friend. He was always there to help everyone. Glen enjoyed all the adventures with his wife Carol on their Harley. His favorite place to vacation was Colorado where he did most of his hiking. He also rode his dirt bike and received many awards and trophies, a passion he shared with his son Luke. There was always music in his life. Glen enjoyed listening to records and going to concerts with his wife. Glen is survived by his wife Carol of Peru. 1 son Luke Kaszynski of Ladd and 1 stepdaughter Bridgette Baysingar of Oglesby. 5 Brothers Jerry (Mary) Kaszynski of Missouri, Tom (Sue) Kaszynski of Metamora, David (Bob) Kaszynski of Batavia, Jim (Denise) Kaszynski of Oglesby, and Roger (Lewis) Kaszynski of California. 1 sister Carol (Richard) Chavez of California. Several Nieces and Nephews. His hiking companions Shadow and Gus. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings Marilyn and Joseph in infancy. While we mourn the loss of Glen here on earth, we are comforted knowing his parents were there to lovingly greet him in Heaven.
