I send my condolences to the family of Arnold. He was a wonderful man and good guy. He served on the Whiteside County Airport Board for many years and I came to know him well and appreciate his humor, judgment, ability and friendship. Jack Cassens and I always deferred to Arnold for advice about anything mechanical and agricultural. He designed safety clutches for the hangar doors that was beyond the manufacturer and is still in use today. I admired his judgment - he could always see through most bad ideas and questionable people. I always looked forward to seeing him each month. I know you have similar great memories of Arnold and they will provide you comfort. Interestingly my wife, Helen, suffered from the same general health problems as JoAnne and we always shared our mutual issues. The four of us commiserated about our mutual maladies for many years. Helen died in 2014, a year after Jo Anne.

Sending sincere sympathy to all of you. Sorry we can't attend the services for your dad, but we will be thinking of you at this sad time. Always thought of your dad as a gentle caring man and will remember how he was always there for your mom. He is truly in heaven! Randy and Beth Etheridge
