Bernadette M. “Bernie” Huebbe 88 of La Salle. Passed away April 16, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in St Valentine Church. The Rev Gary Blake will officiate. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the Ptak Funeral Home and additional visitation will be Wednesday morning in the church from 9:15- 10:00 AM. Bernie was born April 22, 1932, in Peru to Joseph and Mary (Wyzgowski) Zborowski. She married Randall Huebbe on October 6, 1961, in La Salle. She was a lifelong member of St Valentine Church. Bernie worked at Westclox and was a crossing guard for the city of Peru for many years. She was involved at the beginning of the Central States Baseball Tournament in Peru and the L-P Booster Club. Bernie loved camping and her dog Chipper. Most of all she loved her family and especially her Grandchildren. Bernie is survived by her sons Dave (Flip) Huebbe of La Salle, Randall Huebbe of Peru, Dan (Jill) Huebbe of Peru, and Christopher Huebbe of Oxford, FL. Her daughters Debra (Dave) Woodshank of Peru, Laurie (Bob) Boyer of Peru, and Nicole (Jay) Rose of La Salle. 17 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ryan Huebbe, Casey Huebbe, Jason Huebbe, Eric Woodshank, Brady Huebbe, and Colin Rose. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, 1Grandchild, 4 Brothers, and 3 sisters.
