James I. Placher

James I. Placher 60 of Peru. Passed away February 24 in St Francis Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be 11:0 AM Friday, March 5, 2021, in St Mary Church Peru. The Rev J A Small will officiate. Burial will be at St Hyacinth Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. Social distancing and face-covering will be required. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30- 11:00 AM in the church. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. James was born November 5, 1960, in Milwaukee, WI to Oscar and Elsie (Klingbeil) Placher. He married Julie Harris on November 27, 1982. James worked at Results Company in Streator and was a part-time custodian at Dalzell Grade School. James is survived by his wife Julie of Peru. His son Brandon Placher of Vandalia, IL., 2 brothers George (Sherry) Placher of Louisiana and Bill (Chris) Placher of Oregon. 1 sister Diane Keyt of La Salle., 2 brothers in Law Ken (Joan) Harris of Peru and Tim Harris of Peru, and 1 sister-in-law Rose Ann (Dan) Nosalik of La Salle. His nephews Nathan and Nick Nosalik and several nieces and nephews. James is also survived by his 3 dogs Roxie, Nymeria, and Nanuq. James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dave.
