Jeanette V. Korosec

Jeanette V. Korosec 96 of Peru. Died April 9,2019 in her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 12, 2019, at St Valentine Church. Monsignor Richard Soseman will officiate. Burial will be at St Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM in the Ptak Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 4:45 PM. Jeanette was born March 2, 1923, in Peru to Andrew and Anna (Niemiec) Piwonski. She married Henry Korosec June 5, 1942, at St Valentine Church. Jeanette worked at the Seneca shipyards as a welder during the war. She then worked at Westclox for many years. She was a member of St Valentine Church, the Red Hatters, Spring Creek Golf Course, and the YMCA, Where she a member of the walkers Hall of Fame, walking over 1000 miles. Jeanette is survived by her daughter Dr. Marian Korosec of Cleveland, Ohio. 2 Grandchildren Luke and Max Credi. 2 sisters Tina Dittmar of California and Wanda Broviak of Peru, 1 Brother Al (Sally) Piwonski of Peru and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband in 1995,2 brothers and 2 sisters and her dearest friend Joe Credi.
