Robert A. (Bob) Catalanello 87 of Peru. Passed away peacefully at 5:45 PM March 4, 2021 in the Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Eureka, IL after suffering from cancer. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM Friday July 16, 2021 at St Valentine Church. Visitation will be Friday in the church from 9:45 AM till time of service. Peru Veterans Memorial Group will conduct Military Honors following the service at Church. Ptak Funeral Home has been assisting the family with the arrangements. Robert was born April 27,1933 in La Salle to Elic and Teresa (Grzeskowiak) Catalanello. He married Bernadine Dutkiewicz July 16,1955. He was a member of St Valentine Church in Peru. He served in the Army from 1953-55. He worked at Alpha Cement Plant and then worked at Maze Nail Co. until his retirement Robert loved working in his yard and detailing his car in his spare time. He enjoyed fishing trips in Wisconsin and cook outs with his family, while having the love of his life Bea “Twin” by his side. Our Robert is forever in our hearts. Robert is survived by his wife of 66 Years Bernadine (Bea) of Peru. 1 daughter Karen (Terry) Neff of Washington, IL., 2 Granddaughters Tiffany Neff of Peoria and Tamara (Steve) Klemm of Peoria, IL, 2 Great Grandchildren Lucy and Noah, 1 Brother James (Ruth) Catalanello of La Salle and 1 sister Phyllis Gbur of Peru and nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his precious grandson Bobby, 1 brother Joseph and a sister Delores. Online condolences and memories may be shared at PtakFH.com
