Bradford R. Johnson

Bradford "Brad" Ross Johnson, age 85, went to be with Our Father on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born December 12, 1940, in Spring Valley, IL to Robert Ross and Eva Jewel (Starkey) Johnson.

Preceded in death by his parents; his spouse Sylvia (Nogay), and a son Keith "Buddy" Johnson; brothers David Johnson, Robert Pagoria, William Tyler; sisters Ruth Martin and Sandra Ernst.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Peggy Lynn, her mother Mary; sister Sandra (Daryle) Rowland, brother Thomas Johnson and sisters-in-law and care giver Karen (John) Jurkas and Sherry Pagoria. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

He was a proud member of the United States Army. He married Sylvia Nogay on January 8, 1969. He retired from JW Hobbs, Spring Valley, IL. An avid fisherman, Bradford found joy in the solitude of nature. He was a horse racing enthusiast, and a devoted fan of the legendary Secretariat "Big Red" being his favorite.

Following Bradford's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held. Ptak Funeral has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Tiny n Tall Animal Rescue in St Charles IL, 857-477-2391, or an animal rescue / shelter of your choice.

The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice and The Pavillion of Ottawa, for their generosity and kindness shown to Bradford and his family.
