Carol H. DeAngelo, 84, of Peru, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 11, 2025, after a 4-year battle with cancer.
Carol was born on March 19, 1941, at The Angear Hospital in Sublette, Illinois, to Leo and Clara (Weber) Glaser. She was a devoted member of St. Valentine's Catholic Church in Peru, IL, where she and her husband Bob developed a close relationship with Father Small.
Carol’s first job was at Conco Engineering in Mendota, IL, where she met her husband, Bob. She held several part-time positions throughout her career, including raising their 2 children. Her most recent job was assisting Bob as the owner and operator of DeAngelo’s Hairstyling. She spent most of her time behind the scenes taking care of the books and managing the finances.
Carol truly enjoyed fishing in St. Germaine, WI, and playing cards, especially Euchre, with family and friends. Over the years, she enjoyed many wonderful weekend trips with her bowling team, the Euchrettes, her sisters-in-law, and nieces. She and Bob were able to enjoy many wonderful vacations around the world with each other and with family and friends. Spending time in her yard tending to the many flowers she planted each spring brought her much joy.
Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Clara (Weber) Glaser, brother Gilbert, and Jean (Dyas) Glaser from Mendota, and 2 sister,s Charlotte and Delmar Delhotal from West Brooklyn, IL, and Miriam and Ken Kirchner from Mendota.

She will be deeply missed by her many Cousins, Neices and Nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, in St Bede Abbey Church, and an additional visitation will be Monday Mornin,g 9-9:45 AM in St Valentine Church
Mass of Christian Burial will be10:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2025, in St Valentine Church. Rev. J.A. Small will officiate.
Cremation rites will take place following the services. A Private family Burial will be at a later date.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be at the Paramount Club La Salle, immediately following the mass. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
