David A. Schweickert 61 of Peru. Went to the Lord September 24, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 1, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St Mary Church Peru. Monsignor Richard Soseman will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday in the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Dave was born May 6, 1957, in Peru to Francis and Pauline (Guziec) Schweickert. He was a Bricklayer with the Union Local #6 for many years. Dave was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan, an avid Muscle car enthusiast, and loved to play guitar. And he loved the Lord. Dave is survived by his mother Pauline of Peru. His son David J. (Rachael) Schweickert of Gilbert, AZ. His 3 Grandchildren Ella, Demi, and Mason. His brother Steven of Peru and his sisters Mary Beth Schweickert of Arcata, CA., Julie (Cliff) Hawley of Lombard, IL., Therese Schweickert of Peru and Ann (Brad) Lamboley of Granville. David was preceded in death by his father in 2016 and his brother Mark in 2000.
