Doug Kuffel

Doug Kuffel, 67, of Peru, passed away peacefully at his home on January 2, 2026.

 A memorial Visitation will be Saturday January 17, 2025, from 1-3 PM in the Ptak Funeral Home in Peru, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private Burial will be at a later date in Valley Memorial Park. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Doug was born in La Salle on March 21, 1958, to Sheldon and Sarah (DiCrispino) Kuffel. He worked at Aqua Control, Inc. in Spring Valley until his retirement. Doug attended LP High School, where he participated in sports. He had a great love for baseball and football, especially the White Sox and the Bears - he would never have dreamed of attending a Cubs game! Doug was a self-taught guitarist who spent many hours playing. Music was a big part of his life, and he was an avid Jimmy Buffett fan. He also enjoyed fishing in his free time. Doug is survived by his beloved son, Grant, and daughter-in-law, Ashley, of Ottawa, IL; his sister, Teri (Ernie) Beardsley, of Peoria, AZ; his niece, Julia, of New York City; and his nephew, Nathan, of Peoria, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Doug will be deeply missed by many.
