Edmund J. Tomaszewski, Jr.

Edmund J. “Ed” Tomaszewski 98 of Peru. Passed away September 25, 2026, in Manor Court of Peru.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 24, 2026, in the Ptak Funeral Home. Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St Valentine Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Edmund was born August 14, 1928, in La Salle to Edmund J. and Salome (Urban) Tomaszewski, Sr. He married Mary Zokal July 11, 1959, in St Roch’s Church LaSalle. Ed was graduate of St Bede Academy and Bradley University and received his master’s in history form St Ambrose College. He was a teacher at Northbrook Grade school in Mendota.

Ed is survived by his daughter Carol Tomaszewski of Peru and his son Robert (Jennifer) Tomaszewski of Fruta, CO. 2 Grandchildren Kai and Noa Tomaszewski.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2011 and his sisters Adele and Eleanor.
