James was born November 11, 1988, in San Jose, CA. to David and Susan (Mooso) Grissom, Sr.

James worked in the landscaping and tree removal service.

James is survived by his father David (Mary) Grissom of Rock falls, IL. His girlfriend Amanda Hild of Mendota. His daughter Brynlee of Mendota. 3 brothers David (Kara) Grissom Jr. of Columbus Junction, IA., Justin Grissom of Modesta, CA. and Randy (Samantha) Grissom of Geneseo, IL and his stepsister Aimee Warta of Crocker, MO. And many nieces and nephews.
