Janice M. Turczyn

Janice M. Turczyn 72 of La Salle. Passed away January 17, 2024, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday January 26, 2024, in Ptak Funeral Home. The Rev Gregory Jarzombek OSB will officiate. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday January 25, 2024, in the funeral home and 9:00 –10:00 AM Friday morning in the funeral home.

Janice was born May 18, 1951, in Peru, IL to Clemons and Anna (Lipinski) Nogay. She married Dale Turczyn in 2006. She worked at ADM in Peru for over 40 years, up till her retirement. She then worked at the Igloo for many years. 

Janice is survived by her husband Dale of La Salle. Her daughters JoAnn (Paul) Frank of New Jersey and Sandra Imig of Arizona. Her sons Salvatore (Tammy) Maggio of Walnut and Jay (Michelle) Maggio of La Salle and her stepson Danny “DT” Turczyn of Utica. Her Grandchildren Wesley Mitchell, Lucas Lourie, Chandler Lourie, Kyle Maggio, Christian Frank, Mia Frank, Jack Frank, Cooper Turczyn, Zachary Haun, Brady Burkart and Great Grandchild Ezra Mitchell. Her sisters Karen (John) Jurkas of Oglesby, Maribeth Tonelli of Peru and Luanne Sims of Peru of Oglesby. Several nieces and nephews and Great Nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gerald Nogay, David Nogay and her sister Sylvia Johnson and her nephew Keith Johnson.
