Kyle William Duncan Krapf

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Kyle William Duncan Krapf, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who peacefully left us on June 8, 2025 at the age of 49.

Born on June 2, 1976, at St. Mary's Hospital in LaSalle, Kyle was the son of William and Kathleen (Duncan) Krapf.

A proud graduate of Saint Bede Academy in 1994, Kyle continued his education at Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana, before graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management. He made significant contributions during his career at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Banking.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoyed traveling, spending time at the family farm, and fun-filled times with his dear friends. Kyle was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, with immense knowledge and passion for the game of baseball. Kyle’s legacy is defined by love, kindness, and the positive impact and joy he brought to all our lives. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Kyle is survived by his devoted father and mother, along with his beloved sisters, Kimberly Middleton and Kelly Krapf, and his two nephews, Colin Duncan Middleton and Hutton William Duncan Krapf. He was cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Saint Bede Academy. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bede Abbey at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, with a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass begins. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements
