Robert L. Brown

Robert L. Brown 93 of La Salle. Passed away on November 9, 2022, in St Paul Medical Center Mendota. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2022, at St Valentine Church. Rev John Baptist will officiate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. The Peru Veterans Memorial Group will conduct Military Honors. 

The visitation will be  Monday from 10:00- 11:00 AM in the Church. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. 

Robert was born December 16, 1928, in Oglesby to Ernest and Lillian (Bradke) Brown. He married Loretta Cassidy on September 4, 1948, in St Patrick's Church in Arlington. Robert served in the Navy from 1946-1948. 

Robert worked at Westclox, Marquette Cement, and then retired from American Nickeloid. He was a member of St Valentine's Church. 

Robert is survived by his daughter Marla (Denis) Studzinski of Rolling Meadows, IL., and his son Robert D. (Susan) Brown of Valparaiso, IN. His Grandchildren Troy (Jennifer) Akey, Rachel (Alex) Omasta, Scott (Hanna) Brown, and Megan (Tristen) Beardsley. Great Grandchildren Ashley Akey, Alyson Akey, Maddie Omasta, Ava Brown, and Anthony Beardsley. He is also survived by brother-in-law Nestor Longbons and sisters-in-law Alice Brown and Betty Brown. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta in 2017 and 2 daughters in infancy Mary Elaine and Mary Kay. 2 brothers Ernest Brown and Charles Brown. 5 sisters Dorothy Moore, Darlene Longbons, Mildred Gray, Judy Browm, and Carol Grant. 

Memorials may be directed to the Veterans Home at La Salle.
