Timothy Slover

Timothy Slover 59 of Spring Valley. Died December 1, 2018, in Loyola Medical Center Maywood IL, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Ptak Funeral Home. Rev Gregory Jarzombek OSB Will officiate. Burial will be private in St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM -2:00 PM in the funeral home. Timothy was born August 3, 1959, in Spring Valley to Walter and Elizabeth (Lawniczak) Slover. He married Kathy Sienkiewicz October 18, 1978, in St Anthony Church in Spring Valley. He worked for Macklin Inc in Rochelle for 40 years. He was a proud operating Engineer with local 150. He was a 1977 graduate of La Salle- Peru Township High School. Timothy was an avid fisherman. He was an active member of the Peru Sportsman’s club. Timothy was a big Chicago Bears and St Louis Cardinal Fan. He had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren. During the last month of his life, he would say he never felt so much love. Timothy is survived by his wife Kathy of Spring Valley,1 daughter Amber (Michael Mertens) Slover of La Salle, 2 sons Eric Slover of Peru and Nick Slover of Peru. His 6 grandchildren Haleigh, Alek, Mya, the twins Gabriella and Isabella Slover and Bryce Burris. Timothy is also survived by 2 sisters Cheryl “Boo” (Brian) Benske of DePue and Luanne “Lulie” (David) Vescogni of La Salle and Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gary Slover. Several Aunts and Uncles and Cousins.
