William J. Sever

William J. Sever 78, of Mc Gregor, Iowa. Formerly of La Salle. Passed away April 25, 2026. Private Graveside service will be at St Vincent Cemetery La Salle at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

William was born March 27,1948 in La Salle to Joseph and Ann Sever. He graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1965. He married Cynthia Cooley in 1979. They moved to Anchorage. AK. William worked for the Alaska Department of Transportation and then worked at Anchorage International Airport. He retired in 1995.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1534.

William was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his wife in 2023. Memorials may be directed to St Jude Children's Hospital
